Who's Got Your Back?

kferrazziJust back from a quick business trip to DC — what a great city!  One of my favorite things about traveling is that I’m able to get a ton of reading done.  I’m currently reading an absolutely fantastic book about building strong lasting relationships that create success by Keith Ferrazzi called “Who’s Got Your Back?“  This book is an absolute must read and I am definitely working to put the practical suggestions to action.  I hope to share more about this in the coming weeks.

My networking/relationship-building goal for this week was to have lunch 1 on 1 with the leader of the wholesalers master mind group and invite another one of the investors to my home for dinner in a couple weeks.  I’ve done both.  Lunch is tomorrow afternoon and the dinner invite went out and will hopefully happen in August.  I specifically chose the two investors who both give very positive vibes and also have retired themselves from the corporate rat race within the last 3 years (if you follow my blog you know this is a huge desire of mine to leave the rat race in 2010).

On another note, things are moving pretty well so far with my virtual assistant.  It’s not 100% smooth yet….I’d say we’re operating at 75% but its much better than what I was able to do before (0-10% on my own), and I think part of it is that we’re in the early stages and we’ll eventually get into a groove.  We are getting leads through our squeeze page regularly via our Craigslist ads.  I’m seeing some limited traffic from the eZine articles and I’m continuing to develop content each week to build that up.

Gotta run. I have to prepare my email that will go out to my buyers list tomorrow (I will include links to some of my eZine articles and also send out my wholesaler partners’ current properties for sale) and also prepare our direct mail piece to motivated sellers via click2mail.com. I think its going to be late night!

Oh, one more thing…today we got a new buyer on our list who says he has been investing for 20 years and is looking to buy 20 properties this year.  He’s a rehabber and says he’s interested in any deals that will make him a good return so my husband will be calling him tomorrow.
