I wanted to share a note of thanks and acknowledge some bloggers who serve as a real inspiration to me.
Depending on how long you’ve been hanging around my blog, you’ll know that real estate investing is not exactly my passion (*gasp*)….it’s simply one of our chosen strategies for wealth building and generating cashflow.
Achieving financial freedom, debt freedom, and helping others to focus more on their purpose rather than their paychecks by securing multiple streams of income? Now, THAT is my passion (hence Financial Freedom GPS and Diva Money Club)!
That said, I follow plenty of real estate investing blogs, but there are blogs outside of real estate that I absolutely love and and draw inspiration from. I’d like to share some of them with you today because I think if you like my blog, you’ll like these too!
Pat Flynn, SmartPassiveIncome.com
If you’re not following Pat Flynn’s Smart Passive Income blog, you are really missing out! What I absolutely love about Pat is his creativity, transparency, and obvious high level of integrity.
He’s a family man with a heart to help others and is totally kicking butt when it comes to developing multiple streams of income. The best thing that ever happened to him is that he was laid off from his 9-to-5. (I remember *wishing* that I’d get laid off! LOL!) Anyway, you can learn a ton by hanging out over on his blog.
He has multiple businesses that all run online…and I’m not just talking about affiliate marketing. He has an iPhone app business, niche websites, the Green Exam Academy, coaching, and more. He shares what’s working and what’s not working with ALL of that.
Pat, if you’re reading this, I just want to say THANK YOU for being you and for being such an inspiration!
Bolaji Oyejide, WhoisBolaji.com

Bolaji is one of my dearest friends, the father of my awesome godsons, and has also been my accountability partner for the past few years. I always knew he was meant to be a full-time entrepreneur and God apparently agreed because he kept getting caught up in lay offs in his corporate jobs. (Hmm…there seems to be a running theme here). But seriously…it happened so often that it became a running joke between us.
Anyway, Bolaji’s gifts are helping others build their personal brand (download his free Personal Brand Formula – it kicks butt), writing awesome children’s stories, and coming up with brilliant marketing ideas!
Bolaji, THANK YOU for inspiring me to be the best me I can be and for always motivating me to “up my game.” Loving your blog!
Jaime Tardy, EventualMillionaire.com
Jaime’s blog is relatively new to me (thanks Bolaji for sharing it) and since the day I checked it out a few months ago, I immediately knew it was a blog I wanted to read on a regular basis. Jaime, who is a debt free entrepreneur, business coach, and eventual millionaire (naturally!) conducts some awesome interviews with millionaires that you’re going to want to check out. She also blogs about debt freedom and always seems to have an encouraging word to share as well.
You might be thinking that Jaime got laid off from her job too….no, but she did QUIT her job! You have to check out Jaime’s story…as a former corporate rat racer myself, I LOVED her story: How I Paid Off Over $70,000 in Debt and Quit My Job (make sure to read all 3 parts of the story!).
Jaime, keep up the awesome work on your blog and THANK YOU for sharing so much of yourself as well as gathering so much wisdom from wildly successful entrepreneurs.
Adam Baker, ManVsDebt.com
Adam Baker (he goes by Baker) got my attention right away sometime in the middle of last year with his raw and honest blog posts. The tagline for his blog is “Sell Your Crap. Pay off your debt. Do what you love” which I think is pretty cool. If you’ve never read his blog before, I strongly suggest starting off here.
What’s great about Baker is that he – along with his wife and adorable daughter – truly live life on their own terms. I truly appreciate how freely he shares when things go right as well as when things go…well, not so right…in both personal and business matters. It’s clear that he’s enjoying the journey every step of the way.
My brother-in-law often says “Just do YOU!” so Baker, I just want to THANK YOU for just doing you. It’s an inspiration.
I encourage you to check all of these blogs out and see if they resonate with you as well. The internet is awesome, isn’t it?
P.S. Hope you all have a great remainder of the week and weekend! I’m running behind on my first Quest for Passive Income podcast, but I should have that next week for all of you along with some tips on using social media to build relationships with other real estate investors!
Also, if you know of any other blogs you think I’d love as much as these, I’d love to hear about them!

Thanks for sharing this list of blogs outside of real estate, Shae! I’ve visited Smart Passive Income a few times, it’s got some really good information. With all the sites out there, it’s good to have a list like this to check out!
p.s. I’m an avid reader of ProBlogger. Darren is a writing machine, just like me and my long comments that can be taken as blog posts!!

Hey Rachel aka Writing Machine!
I used to read ProBlogger quite a bit, but haven’t been on the site for awhile…in fact, I thought you had to pay for his content these days? No?
Thanks for your comments as always!

Oh, I guess I have a new name! (lol!)
Cool to know you’ve read ProBlogger, Shae! I hadn’t heard that you had to pay for his content, I’ve been still reading it via feedburner. Though, I think he does have a paid forum.
p.s. Speaking of passion, here’s a pretty funny and entertaining indie film spoof

Hi Shae,
Cool stuff as always.
I love Pat’s blog and newsletter (I think I found about him from you!). I just found Jaime’s this week via BlogcastFM and subscribed to her podcast.
I will check out the other two, they sound great as well!

I couldn’t agree more about Pat Flynn and his blog. I’ve been following it for 2 years now and it amazes me how he routinely puts out great posts. He is just an average guy making it work and is an inspiration to me and my blog.
I’ll be checking out the other people as well, although they are gonna have to be really good to crack my 15 blog max and bump someone out

It’s worth it Scotty….well, I guess I can’t say for sure since I don’t know who you’d be bumping out, but I bet it would be worth it. LOL!

Thanks Neil! I’m doing great. Wow, you’re already on part 7 of your tenant eviction series? I have some catching up to do! LOL!

Hi Shae,
The Blog series has really taken on a life of its own. It is interesting because I am chronicling the experience as I go through it.
At first I thought that it may be a bit difficult to manage, as I did not want to disclose any information that would compromise the tenant.
Thus far, I have been able to document everything in the posts while maintaining the privacy of all parties. I am happy that I was able to do this.
The eviction process is quite the marathon indeed. In Ontario, the legislation is slanted in favour of the tenants. Whereas in the Western provinces in Canada, the legislation is much more favourable to landlords.
Nevertheless, it is quite the experience and I am learning a tonne as I go along.
Between all of the difficult conversations with the tenant and property manager, I could definitely write a book! (hint, hint!)
Hope all is well.
Talk to you soon!
Neil.

What’s UUUUP, Shae!
I wasn’t sure if it was a typo, that you included me on any kind of list with Pat Flynn, Adam Baker, and Jaime Tardy! LOL!
Regardless, before you correct the list, I will say THANK YOU, and I am honored to be mentioned on your blog as a valued resource. (Being on the list with these luminaries is another level entirely!)
One thing that’s common with Pat, Adam, Jaime, and Shae, is that they all provide immense value, and care about their respective tribes.
I’m working hard to get to y’all’s level (can you have two apostrophes in the same word? Maybe only in southern U.S.A. I welcome other examples of the double “single apostrophe” word.
Gracias.
Keep investing with good faith… In passive income, and in people.
