At least I’ll be at South Beach

[ 9 ] February 3, 2010 | Shae

Miami Beach Welcome

My 9-to-5 schedule is wreaking havoc on my progress so far this week.  I’m headed down to South Beach (Miami for those who don’t know) in a little while and will be there til late tonight with my co-workers and then all day and through early evening tomorrow for a team meeting.  It’s always cool to see my co-workers though…some of them I only see twice a year at these in-person team meetings because many of us work out of our homes all across the country.  Since I’m down here with one other teammate, we’re hosting the meeting and having to take care of all the preparations, etc.

Anyway, the cool thing is that we received our yellow letters from CheapYellowLetters.com and I must say that Bryan and his folks did a great job on the letters.  They went in the mail yesterday so I’m expecting to receive phone calls from sellers over the next couple of days. I love it when the phones start ringing.  It’s deal-finding and deal-making time!  I’ll be sure to keep you posted.

We’re also still working on that short sale — hopefully the seller will send the listing agreement, short sale package, and house key back to the realtor by early next week so we can move on to the next step.

I’m also doing some follow up with additional realtors this week, but I don’t have as much time available.  The key for me during times like this is to always do something! Even if its just 1 out of 6 things on my list to get done, I’ll take the time to get it done.  If all I have is 15 minutes, I’ll do something in my 15 minutes.

P.S. Have you ever heard of the P90x? My hubby Phil is NOT playin’ around, you hear me? He’s a pretty muscular guy…works out at the gym quite a bit, but this year he’s focusing on slimming down in the mid-section and using the P90x exercise program (and nutrition plan) to do it.  Check out this breakfast of champions that he ate this morning. I had to take a picture…10 scrambled egg whites with mushrooms, tomato, and low-fat cheddar cheese.  Then there’s cottage cheese in the bowl…he really enjoyed his eggs, but frankly I could tell it was PAINFUL for him to eat that cottage cheese.  LOL!

Lol he will get used to it! I actually do it whenever I have to do photo shoots! It’s great.

Shae, great post! I used the P90X allot last year and it is tough. You just need the right weights and pullup bars and stuff like that to make it work. I have really heavy dumbells that make it impossible for some of the exercises. But as far as the Yoga..that will straight kick anyone in the butt big time.

Have fun in Miami with the crew

  3. Shae I can relate to holding down a fulltime job and the challenges of working your business. I’m excited for you with the letters from Cheapyellowletters.com. Byran’s crew is awesome and I’m right behind you in sending my next batch out. May your phone ring off the hook with motivated sellers. :)
Wow, kudo’s to Phil. With that diet and the P90x challenge. Have fun in Miami buddy!

    Thanks fellas!

Bill, I see at least 6 voicemail messages waiting for me so the calls started coming while I was in Miami – yeah!

Jason, Phil was cracking up when I told him what you said about his breakfast. LOL!

Holy crap! I don’t think I eat that much the entire day. And I definitely couldn’t do the cottage cheese with eggs. Maybe a side of pancakes, perhaps. Or waffles.

    Now I’m hungry.

Grrrrr! I want to be in South Beach to watch the Colts stomp the Saints! On a real estate note…I’ve used an assistant at a local RE brokerage to do the handwritten yellow letters for me (they are used to doing that kind of stuff). It might be a little bit cheaper.

p.s. Cottage cheese ROCKS……although too much can cause Kidney Rocks :-)

Hey Chris, that’s a good suggestion, thanks! Cottage cheese is kinda nasty to me too….just like plain yogurt..I need some flavor!
